Commendation in recognition for my volunteer work
Commendation presented to me by San Jose Councilmember Johnny Khamis and San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo for my volunteer work and involvement with local animal shelters and rescue groups. I was recognized for my work with organizations such as the city of San Jose Animal Care & Services, the Humane Society of Silicon Valley, Palo Alto Humane Society’s Critter Club Program, Oakland Animal Services, Our Pack, Inc. rescue, and other programs and community awareness events focused on animals and shelters.
"I cannot say enough wonderful things about Lynn! She worked virtually with me and my dog, Pete, and the difference has been incredible. Lynn is not only extremely knowledgeable and detailed in her positive-reinforcement approach, but she also took the time to really understand Pete’s personality and what would work best for him. She helped us address some puppy behavioral issues with patience and practical strategies that actually worked for him.
One of the things I loved most is that she made training fun—for both Pete and me. She gave us creative games and exercises that kept him engaged and happy, and she always gave me clear, manageable homework so I could continue building on what I learned in each session.
Lynn’s professionalism, warmth, and genuine love for dogs shines through in everything she does. Thanks to her, Pete is not only better behaved but also more confident and eager to learn. I highly recommend Lynn to anyone looking for a trainer who goes above and beyond!"

Lynn helped me with some on-leash reactivity issues with my very smart boxer. She was patient and kind while she worked with me, and gave me tools to help resolve the problem. It was very helpful to see the problem from a different perspective, instead of being frustrated with my "bad dog". We continue to make progress, and I'm now able to walk her in my neighborhood without being worried about how she'll react. I've recommended her to many of my friends since then!

“My husband Mark and I sought Lynn’s help to integrate a 1 1/2-year-old Lab rescue into our household, which included an elderly cat. Jet is a loving dog but showed signs of cat fixation and occasional leash reactivity. Lynn is an extremely gifted and kind teacher, whose clear instructions and modeling allowed us to take the first steps toward creating a happy dog/happy cat home.”

"I appreciate your clear and direct instruction and addressing my particular needs with regard to my dog. You are delightful to work with ~ thanks!”

"I had a great phone conversation with Lynn. She listened to the situation with my 5 year old Weimaraner, who has become less friendly and more irritable/aggressive in the last year. Lynn offered some really insightful comments and advice. For example, my idea of socialization may not be what my dog wants. And he might be telling me that but I just didn't realize it. Lynn gave a really great analogy of introverts and extroverts that I hadn't thought of in respect to dogs, but it helped me see life from my dog's perspective. I have revised my goals and expectations of our social outings, and I feel okay about it, rather than frustrated as I did before. Lynn also provided some great tips on how to handle situations in the moment. I only wish she were closer geographically so that we could have an in person session. Lynn's listening skills were great, and she was warm and caring, and helped me feel less helpless. I highly recommend her.”
